I came to Canada as an international student and became a permanent resident through Express Entry. During my application, I wanted a free place where applicants could share timelines and support each other. Most of what I found was scattered across forums or behind paid services, so I built Soon To Be Canadian.

Today the site has 1,117 real timelines, every IRCC draw since 2015, and a citizenship calculator I built while working toward my own citizenship.

I'm a web developer in Ottawa. Every guide I write is based on community data and official IRCC sources, and I update guides when processing times, rules, or draw patterns change.
